Professor Alicia Jenkins

Alicia Jenkins is a Professor of Diabetes and Vascular Medicine at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre at The University of Sydney and she also provides Type 1 diabetes patient care at St. Vincent’s Health, Melbourne. She holds a NHMRC Practitioner Fellowship, with interests in diabetes and its complications, and the use of technology in diabetes care, including insulin pumps and telehealth.  She leads clinical and basic research including FIELD, REMOVAL, FAME-1 trials and insulin pump trials. Alicia has over 300 publications.  She was on ADS Council for 8-years,  and is on the Boards of two charities (Insulin For Life and the IFL Life For a Child Program) which provide diabetes support to people with diabetes in developing countries.
