The 2017 Roche Educators Day is held on Tuesday 29th August at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, in conjunction with the ADS ADEA Annual Scientific Meeting.

Testing times! The importance of structured SMBG in T2DM amid recent policy changes and continuing controversy – With more than 1.2 million Australians living with diabetes and another 298 Australians being diagnosed with diabetes every day, this session will highlight the pivotal role SMBG plays in the accurate management of diabetes.

Exploring Changes in the Gestational Diabetes Landscape – This session will look at research examining the effect of changes in diagnostic criteria on the prevalence and management of Gestational Diabetes

Use of Diabetes Apps – This session will explore the variety of digital health technologies and how these can best support both people with diabetes and their healthcare providers

Meal-time Insulin Dosing: Does Fat and Protein Count? Building on research presented at Roche Educators Day 2016, this session will provide an update on current research on the impact of fat and protein on blood glucose.

The Impact of Language on Psychosocial Distress – This session will discuss the language of diabetes in the media and the need to change diabetes language in the community

People with Diabetes Panel Discussion – Speakers with personal experience of diabetes will discuss their experience with diabetes and how they can be best supported by their Diabetes Educator
